Join me virtually on a 50-km spring bike ride in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The Trebon Basin (Třeboňsko in Czech) is a Protected Landscape Area and a UNESCO biosphere reserve located around the town of Třeboň, near the Czech-Austrian border. It consists of 460 artificial fishponds and lakes that were constructed in the 15th and 16th century. They now serve as the centre of Czech fish-farming industry while providing a home to countless birds and water vegetation.
