During this Exhibition Exchange, Ron Brister and JoLynne Minnick talk about archaeology of West Tennessee and the artifacts featured in the “Those Who Came Before” exhibition. Through the sherds and intact pottery, projectile points, and stone tools the evolution of material culture in West Tennessee through the centuries of habitation will be shown, and a small view of the lives of the indigenous people will be brought to life.

Ron Brister retired as Collections Manager for the Pink Palace Family of Museums after 37 years of service. He continues to volunteer his expertise throughout Midsouth, is the President of the Friends of Chucalissa and librarian for the Memphis Archaeological and Geological Society.

JoLynne Minnick is a current graduate student from the University of Memphis working towards a Masters in Art History with a concentration in Egyptian Art and Archaeology and a Museum Certificate. She has organized the Archaeology of West Tennessee exh
